New Terminal 1 Maple Leaf Lounge at Pearson

Sheena's first time in this one since they oped the new International wing and got rid of the infield terminal. Lots of nice light coloured wood and '70s retro avocado and burnt orange furniture. Actually reminds me of the old Canadian Lounge in Vancouver, but without the big giant totem poles.

Pretty quiet in here.

And with my luck I'm here before 11am. FCS.

UPDATE:

Sheena stands here completely flabbergasted and wondering if indeed we are in The Last Days. One of the few constants in my life of chaos, a touchstone, a security blanket, a comforting haven in the madness of life is gone. GONE.

Here before me as I write, in the Maple Leaf Lounge, we see the death of the free tampon. That's right. 50 cents each. Fucking Air Canada cheapwad MEN. This sucks even more severely because it is in the International Lounge and why would foreign travellers have stupid Canadian coinage left at this point. What a horrible impression we must be making.

I hope they are collecting 7% of that as GST and sending it to Ottawa. Blood money.

The Maple Leaf Lounge is gone. Question is where did Terminal One go. It was, like, a ten story building/parking lot and I can't figure out where it is. I know it's there somewhere. It seems to have been wrapped around by some new construction.

The old Terminal 1 was torn down, bruce. It was fun for a while during the demolition because you could sit in the Terminal 2 MLL and every week see another floor gone. They dismantled it from top down so it didn't make too much of a mess.

In the mean time they built a new terminal, and just renamed it Terminal 1. So, no - it is not wrapped around by anything, it got carted away. One truckload at a time.

There's definitely a wierd recurring theme with Air Canada. That blue colour just like the vw beetles of the era. And what about the 7-up commercial tail logo? hm?

Look Sheen, that dispensing machine looks like the friendly-ist happy-ist yes-I-KNOW-you're-whombhen-struating just-cough-up-the-50ยข-bitch-its-all-good type bathroom fixture I ever saw. Are you sure you're not an airline miserblyist?
