So I spent the day watching CNN - and it was emotions in all extremes. First the execution of Saddam - I felt pity for the man - a person who tried to do something to show for his life - and look at the way he ended. Then a bit later the funeral of James Brown - a man from the ghetto who did more for Americans than any politicians could dream of doing - and finally a funeral of a president - a person who had the same job as Saddam - but his country made sure that he was glorified in his death - not shamed. Too bad Saddam has no chance of a state funeral - to show for all the efforts he made in his life - but then again I guess his state has spoken!

And he's a dead-er.
Only about 40 years too late... but nothing is ever perfect. :-)
May God have mercy on his soul... assuming that he still had one by the end.

That's true, Saddam did really make a statement with his life. I liked Bette Davis's more, but it's all just personal choice now, isn't it?
Statement?
