Worst Brunch EVER.

Sheena has eaten a couple of times at local Waterloo retro joint Mel's Diner and it has always been quite pleasant. Decent value, quick friendly service, 50s themed decor. Usually packed with university students.

Today stunned the hell out of me. Not a hell of a lot in the fridge, so stopped in for a bite today.

Ordered the corned beef hash. Worst EVER. Now, Sheena knows a thing or two about Corned Beef, a discerning palate on such matters, for what it's worth.

And THIS, my dears, was pure shit. No pics, forgot the camera at home today.

What was presented for a ripoff price of $9.95 was massive serving of frozen & deep friend cubed potatos. "Home" fries. And a couple of token eggs. Fine. And toast. Whatever. But the "corned beef" was represented by a piddly few chopped sandwich meat slices warmed over with barely cooked onions, and plopped on top of the mound of awful potato chunkettes.

I picked at it and covered it up while my brunch companion chewed through a much more promising looking breakfast burrito.

A mistake. To be learned from.
