Jesus that's spooky (I'll forgive the mention of Covey). For me it's always the battle to find an intersection between billable hours and useful hours. Eventually, I came up with my own system - modeled after the way I did laundry when I was a starving stupid student. There's a pile for stuff I care about and stuff I don't care about. Everything else is intuition. Oh, and I buy lottery tickets.

My problem these days is giving a shit.
When you don't care one way or the other it's hard to get much done.
