The last N.American vehicle that I owned, that I truly LOVED, was a 1961 Ford F-100 Custom-Cab unibody... I was 17, and it had an awesome bench seat... ;)
If it broke down, you could fix it with a crescent wrench, a hammer, and some wire.
I'm doing my utmost to ignore politics now... still, it's hard to miss this on Yahoo headlines and such, and it sure feels like a huge, huge mistake to help these clueless dolts. I'm very sorry to see people fighting for it -- I understand it's going to be tough on the economy, but so what? It's going to be tough on the economy if they go under anyway. As I understand the most recent version of the bill, I think it's wrong and lets the carmakers off far too easily - I hope the Rep Senators can stop it. My fingers are crossed.
But I LOVE this image and I'm going to mail it out to my friends -- thanks for a little chuckle on a bitter topic! :D

That ad is FABULOUS! My vehicle purchase last year was not American.
Volkswagen diesel, ftw.

I buy domestic. I think the big 3 have taken a bad rap because the quality gap with japanese vehicles was closed years ago.
